ANNOUNCEMENTS

LOCAL MISSIONS ORGANIZATION MEETING at 5:30 this afternoon in the Sunday School room next to the pastor’s office. This meeting is for those that would like to help organize the Local Missions effort scheduled for June 5, 6 and 7.

THE 57TH ANNUAL NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER is May 1st at 12:20pm. Please meet at the steps of the courthouse to participate in the observance led by area pastors (sponsored by the Scott County Ministerial Association).

THE SOJOURNERS are going to the Farmer’s Daughter’s Restaurant on Saturday, May 3rd. They will be leaving around 11:00am. See Gene McClelland for more information.

THERE WILL BE A CALLED BUSINESS MEETING on Sunday, May 4th for the purpose of the church to vote to sponsor a small group from our church on a trip to Africa.

THE WMU ASSOCIATION MEETING will be Monday, May 5th at Nickelsville Baptist Church. A van will leave our church parking lot at 5:15pm to be there for the meal at 6:00 and meeting at 7:00.

LOCALS MISSIONS 2008 WILL BE JUNE 5, 6, AND 7. Signup for volunteers will begin April 27 and run through June 1. The signup sheet will be located on the bulletin board in the foyer between the gym and gathering room. If you have questions please see Craig Chapman or Allen (Cotton) Roberts.

THE REMAINING BALANCE is due for World Changers (June 21 – June 28 in Durham, NC).The total cost for our adults will be $125 and $75 for youth. Crew Chiefs do not have to pay. We are hoping to receive Crew Chief and Crew Encourager paperwork today...and you can pay your remaining balance as soon as possible. We'd like to have that money turned in by Wednesday, April 30. You can see Kim Jenkins or Jeff DeBoard if you have any questions.

A MALE CHAPERONE IS NEEDED for Student Life Camp for Kids, June 10-13. Please contact Andrea if you are available and feel led to minister to our kids in this way. Scholarship and deposit money is due by April 30. We still have several scholarship angels available.

WANTED! NEW AND USED CHILDREN’S BOOKS for children in our county. There will be a box for donations in the side foyer.

WE WILL HAVE A BAPTISMAL SERVICE on Wednesday, May 14th at 7:00pm.
